CHILLI POWDER is obtained from Capsicum annuum and is a skin and eye irritant. It is used to reduce pain of muscle sore, skin irritations, rheumatism and shingles. It exhibits anti-inflammatory activity and also possesses antimicrobial activity against Bacillus cereus, Clostridium tetani, Bacillus subtilis, Streptococcus pyogenes and Clostridium sporogenes.It also has antifungal property and its effectiveness as an anticancer is still under review.
