Bayberry Root is obtained from a shrub naming Myrica cerifera which acts as a stimulant and also astringent. It is effective against diarrhea, head colds, dysentery, jaundice, colitis, scrofula. It can cause emesis if a large amount is taken. It is useful in sore throat to gargle, internal ulcerations, leucorrhoea. It is also used in the production of candies and fragrances.
