HYDROCORTISONE BASE is categorized as corticosteroid that is used to reduce inflammation including redness, irritation and itching. It is effective against eczema, ulcerative colitis, scalp irritation, rashes and insect bites. It also has applications in soaps, detergents and cosmetics. It is also used only for treatment but not cure in some forms of arthritis, asthma and blood, skin, thyroid, intestinal and kidney disorders.
