HYDROQUINONE is used in the treatment of hyperpigmentation, melasma to lighten dark patches caused by skin injury, birth control pills, hormone medicines and pregnancy. It acts as a bleaching agent of skin that imparts action by inhibiting enzyme reaction which causes discoloration.
