L-TYROSINE prevents some of the cognitive decline response related to physical stressors. It is a non essential amino acid that is used in the synthesis of proteins. Body forms tyrosine form phenylalanine. It is used in the treatment of phenylketonuria. Patients suffering from phenylketonuria lack the ability to process phenylalanine which in turn causes decreased level of tyrosine.
