MANGOSTEEN EXTRACT 4:1 is obtained from the plant Garcinia mangostana which has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antitumoral, antiallergic, antiviral and antibacterial properties. It is used in the treatment of diarrhea, suppuration, dysentery, chronic ulcer and abdominal pain. It contains xanthones including alpha-mangostins, beta-mangostins, gamma-mangostins, gartanin, garcinone E and 8-deoxygartanin which are mostly responsible for imparting medicinal properties.
