NYSTATIN is categorized as macrolide antibiotic which acts as an antifungal to treat oropharyngeal candidiasis, vulvovaginal candidiasis, tinea barbae, tinea capitis. It is also used to treat mycotic infections of cutaneous as well as mucocutaneous type against Candida albicans and also other Candida species. It is indicated to treat oropharyngeal candidiasis prophylaxis and oral cavity fungal infections. It is used as veterinary medicine to treat intestinal mycosis in poultry by Candida albicans.
