RIBOFLAVIN 5 PHOSPHATE SODIUM is a water soluble B vitamin which is used in the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and fat. It plays an important role in the formation of red blood cell, production of antibody, maintaining healthy skin, hair and nails and regulating reproduction, thyroid activity as well as human growth. It is used in the treatment and prevention of eye disorders including several cataracts, riboflavin deficiency and ariboflavinosis. It is useful in the treatment of microcytic anemia and and glutathione reductase deficiency.It is also used in the management of congenital methemoglobinemia, burning feet syndrome, acne and muscle cramps.
