URIDINE TRIPHOSPHATE is a nucleoside triphosphate of pyrimidine base which is used to synthesizer RNA while transcription. It acts as a substrate activator or source of energy during metabolic reactions and is used in metabolism of galactose. It also mediates cellular responses.
