CATS CLAW EXTRACT 10-1 is obtained from Uncaria tomentosa which contains oxindole alkaloids. An oxindole alkaloid naming Isopteropodin (Isomer A) boosts the immune system and also acts as an antioxidant to scavenge the free radicals. It also contains proanthocyanidins, beta sitosterol and glycosides which are effective against bacteria, viruses and other microorganisms give anti-inflammatory action by suppressing TNF-alpha synthesis and also help to prevent healthy cells from becoming a cancerous one. It gives anti proliferative action on breast cancer cell line (MCF7) which has led its use as an adjunct in cancer and AIDS treatment.
