SLIPPERY ELM EXTRACT 4-1 is obtained from the tree, Ulmus rubra which is used to treat colic, hemorrhoids, coughs, irritable bowel syndrome, diarrhea, sore throat, syphilis, expelling tapeworms, bladder and urinary tract infections, herpes, rheumatism and constipation. It is also effective against stomach as well as duodenal ulcers, diverticulitis, gastrointestinal inflammation, colitis and acidity. It is used in oral lozenges that are taken to sooth throat pain.
