STEARIC ACID POWDER is a saturated n-octadecanoic acid which is used to produce tablets and capsules. In pharmaceutical formulations it acts as an emulsifying agent, lubricant, solubilizing agent. It is also used in lotions, soaps, shampoos and detergents.
