It has anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic and antioxidant properties. It is effective against ulcerative colitis, rheumatic symptoms, common cold, and sore throat. It has hepato-renal protective activity which led its use in liver disorders like jaundice, enlarged liver, and kidney problems like pyelonephritis.
