INDOMETHACIN is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that is used to treat inflammation, pain and fever. It works by decreasing prostaglandin production. It blocks both cyclooxygenase 1 and 2 enzymes to reduce prostaglandin production. Prostaglandins are produced by the body that cause pain and fever related to inflammation.
