IVY FLUID EXTRACT 1-1 is obtained from Chimaphila umbellate that contains hydroquinones which exhibits disinfectant effect. It induces sweating and is used in the treatment of fever. It is also used against cystitis and urethritis. It acts as alterative, diaphoretic, disinfectant, diuretic, astringent, rubefacient and antibacterial. It is used in the treatment of skin, cardiac and kidney diseases, inflammation, scrofula and chronic rheumatism. It also contains glycosides which imparts astringent property.
